Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve subject followability in a tracking controller that tracks a subject.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus comprises a tracking controller for a subject, and sets an image region of the subject in a photographing image. A correction vector detection part 116 detects a motion vector of the subject on the basis of the image region of the subject. A subject detection part 110 detects position information of the subject (image position and a size), and a tracking amount calculation part 111 calculates tracking amount (control amount) for controlling for reducing a difference of the image position of the subject and a target position. An oscillation correction angle calculation part 108 acquires an output of an angle speed meter 103, the motion vector of the subject, and the tracking amount to calculate an oscillation correction angle. A driving control part 113 executes a driving control of a correction lens 114 on the basis of the oscillation correction angle.
