Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique that keeps communication between terminals in a good condition if a radio wave situation is deteriorated during communication between the terminals in a telephone system.SOLUTION: When the error rate of a reception signal received from a slave unit (second terminal) exceeds a threshold value, a master unit (first terminal) activates a charger to make the charger check a radio wave of the slave unit. The master unit transmits the error rate of the signal from the slave unit to the charger. The charger compares quality of the signal between the slave unit and the master unit with quality of a signal between the slave unit and the charger, and responds to the master unit with the comparison result. In response to the comparison result, the master unit instructs the slave unit and the charger to switch a communication path if the quality of the signal between the slave unit and the charger is better than the quality of the signal between the slave unit and the master unit. In response to the instruction from the master unit, the slave unit and the charger switch the communication path so that the slave unit and the master unit will communicate using the charger as a repeater. The slave unit displays signal quality at the master unit and signal quality at the charger on a display.
