Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cured film having excellent transparency and heat resistance required for a protective film, and further having no threshold shift in switching caused by specific electric characteristics in a liquid crystal display device, that is, giving no adverse influences on display quality, and a composition that gives the cured film.SOLUTION: A thermosetting composition and a cured film obtained from the composition are provided, and the composition comprises a polyester amide acid and an epoxy compound. The polyester amide acid is a reaction product of raw materials comprising a tetracarboxylic acid dianhydride, diamine and polyvalent hydroxy compound. A cured film obtained from the above composition shows a dielectric loss tangent of 0.007 or less at 20 Hz.SELECTED DRAWING: None
