Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved aircraft tire capable of meeting high speed, high load and reduced weight requirements.SOLUTION: A pneumatic tire has a carcass and a belt reinforcing structure. The belt reinforcing structure has a zigzag belt reinforcing structure formed by winding a strip of multiple reinforcement cords. The strip of reinforcement cords is inclined 5° to 30° relative to the centerplane of the tire extending in alternation to turnaround points at each lateral edge. The strip of cords is formed from two different cords made of different materials.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
