Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a torque transmission driver which can correspond to fasteners of at least two sizes.SOLUTION: A torque transmission driver comprises a first end portion which receives a torque from a torque generation source and transmits the same; and a second end portion having a forming tapered bit which is engaged with a corresponding drive surface in plural fasteners of at least two sizes. This forming tapered bit includes a drive surface having a series of alternate five or six lobes or five or six troughs, which have an angle of 15 to 45 degrees with respect to a rotational axis, around the rotational axis. The tapered drive surface of the forming tapered bit includes a first tapered portion which is engaged with the drive surface of the fastener of a first size, and a second tapered portion which is engaged with the drive surface of the fastener of a second size, and the drive surface of the fastener of the second size is larger than the drive surface of the fastener of the first size.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1A
