Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To promote thawing of frozen urea water and thus reduce the risk that a frozen block of the urea water may damage a wall surface of an urea water tank and an urea water pump during traveling without providing agitation means having an agitation blade.SOLUTION: An urea water supply device 14 includes: an urea water tank 15; an urea water pump 19 for supplying urea water 16 stored in the urea water tank to an addition valve 17 provided in an exhaust passage 12 of a diesel engine 11 through an urea water supply passage 18; and an electric heater 20 provided around the urea water pump. The urea water supply device further includes: an ECU 26 for determining whether or not the urea water around the urea water pump has been thawed after energization of the electric heater is started, when frozen urea water in the urea water tank is thawed; and an ECU 26 for controlling the urea water pump to repeat normal rotation and reverse rotation after the urea water around the urea water pump has been thawed and for controlling the urea water pump to continue the normal rotation after an urea water addition request signal has been received.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
