To provide a vehicle air conditioning system capable of sending high temperature air into a vehicle interior during a heating operation regardless of a temperature of a heat source while improving heating capacity by using a heat pipe system mounted on the system.SOLUTION: A vehicle air conditioning system comprises a heat pipe system which recovers heat of an exhaust gas and heats air to be sent into a vehicle interior. The heat pipe system also has: an evaporator which heats and evaporates a work medium through heat exchange with the exhaust gas; a condenser 174 which condenses and liquefies the work medium through the heat exchange between the work medium gasified through evaporation and the air to be sent into the vehicle interior; gas piping which sends the gasified work medium to an upper section of the condenser; and liquid piping which sends the liquefied work medium to the evaporator. A louver 176 is a mechanism to switch an air distribution region with respect to the condenser 174 in vertical directions. Switching of the air distribution region with the louver 176 is executed on the basis of a height position of a boundary between the gasified and liquefied work medium in the condenser 174.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
