Abstract:
To provide a technique for estimating a start of a movement of a stopping vehicle.SOLUTION: A vehicle control device 110 for performing an automatic operation of a vehicle 10 includes: a travel route setting section 111 for setting a travel route of the vehicle; a peripheral information recognition section 112 for recognizing peripheral information of the vehicle by using detection signals of peripheral sensors 120; a stopping vehicle detection section 113 for detecting a stopping vehicle on a travel route by using the peripheral information; a movement estimation section 114 for estimating whether a stopping vehicle is to start a movement by using the peripheral information; and a control determination section 115 for determining control contents of the vehicle in accordance with an estimation result of the movement estimation section. The control determination section determines performance of control to allow the vehicle to travel on a travel route after waiting for a movement of a stopping vehicle when it is estimated that a stopping vehicle is to start a movement, and determines performance of control to allow the travel route setting section to change a travel route so as to allow the vehicle to travel on a changed travel route when it is estimated that a stopping vehicle is not to start a movement.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
