Abstract:
To provide a washing machine capable of preventing an overcurrent state from being brought about even when one-shunt current detection system is employed.SOLUTION: The washing machine comprises: a current detection element connected to an inverter circuit and generating a signal corresponding to a current value; a PWM signal generation part for generating a 3-phase PWM signal pattern so as to follow a rotor position of a motor; and a current detection part for detecting a phase current of the motor on the basis of a signal generated in the current detection element and the PWM signal pattern. The PWM signal generation part generates the PWM signal pattern so that the current detection part can detect one or more phase current at least once or more times in a carrier period of the PWM signal. The current detection part further comprises an output voltage restricting part which detects the current value at least once or more times per 1 millisecond, and compares the detected current value with a threshold value, and decreases an output voltage by the PWM control when it exceeds a threshold value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
