Abstract:
To provide a technique capable of detecting ON fault of a circulation pump.SOLUTION: In an instantaneous hot water circulation mode in which a hot-water tap is closed and a combustion mechanism and a circulation pump are operated, a first route is configured to cause low-temperature fluid to flow from outside of a water heater into the downstream side of the circulation pump when the hot-water tap is opened. A controller includes means for integrating a flow rate detected by a flow rate detector. In the instantaneous hot water circulation mode, when outputting an OFF command for stopping the circulation pump, the controller starts integration of flow rates to be detected subsequently, and outputs occurrence of fault of the circulation pump when the integrated flow rate becomes larger than a flow rate threshold value and a fluid temperature to be detected subsequently becomes higher than a temperature threshold value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
