Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio LAN access point device which realizes power-saving and high security.SOLUTION: A radio access point device comprises: a sensor which detects presence of a person; and a power control unit which sets the device in a sleep state when the sensor detects nothing, and releases the sleep state of the device when the sensor detects something. A power control method is applied to the radio access point device which comprises the sensor for detecting presence of a person. The method includes the steps of: setting the device in the sleep state when the sensor detects nothing; and releasing the sleep state of the device when the sensor detects something.
