Abstract:
The objective of the invention is to produce, from a composition containing 1-chloro-2,3,3,4,4,5,5-heptafluoro-1-pentene and a substance that may cause reliability and performance problems,1-chloro-2,3,3,4,4,5,5-heptafluoro-1-pentene from which the content of the substance has been reduced. This 1-chloro-2,3,3,4,4,5,5-heptafluoro-1-pentene production method includes bringing a composition containing 1-chloro-2,3,3,4,4,5,5-heptafluoro-1-pentene and at least one substance selected from the group consisting of water,3,3,4,4,5,5-hexafluoro-1-pentyne, 1-chloro-3,3,4,4,5,5-hexafluoro-1-pentyne, and an oxide into contact with a solid adsorbing agent and removing the substance from the composition.
