Abstract:
Provided are: a 2-aminocarbazole compound suitable as a hole transport material for an organic EL element; and an organic EL element produced using the compound and having excellent driving voltage, luminous efficiency and element service life.
A 2-aminocarbazole compound represented by formula (1) (wherein R represents hydrogen atom or a methyl group; one of R1 to R3 represents a 4-dibenzothienyl group, a 4-dibenzofuranyl group, a 9-phenanthryl group, or a substituent represented by formula (2) (wherein R represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group), and the others independently represent a hydrogen atom or a methyl group; and Ar1 and Ar2 independently represent an aromatic hydrocarbon group having 6 to 18 carbon atoms, wherein the aromatic hydrocarbon group may have a methyl group or a methoxy group).
