Abstract:
The development of novel agricultural/horticultural insecticides is desired due to damage by pests and the like continuing to be a major issue, the evolution of pests resistant to existing chemicals, and other such factors in crop production such as agriculture and horticulture. The present invention provides: an agricultural/horticultural insecticide having as an active ingredient a 3H-pyrrolopyridine compound represented by general formula (1) [in the formula, A represents a nitrogen atom or CH group, R1 and R2 represent halogen atoms, R3 represents a haloalkyl, R4, R5, R6, and R7 represent a hydrogen atom or haloalkyl group, m represents 1 or 2], an N-oxide thereof, or salts thereof; and a method for the use thereof.
