Abstract:
A 4D-printed electrically responsive folding/unfolding composite material, a fabricating method therefor, and a shape memory behavior regulating method thereof. In a layer-by-layer printing process, an electrically conductive layer is embedded in a pre-designed shape memory polymer matrix by means of spraying and treatment with a laser irradiation nano fusion welding method to fabricate a folding/unfolding structure that can achieve an electrically responsive shape memory behavior. In addition, the distribution and range of a heat-affected zone in an electrically responsive shape memory folding/unfolding structure are controlled by adjusting the number of electrified electric heating layers and the electrification voltage as well as the competitive relationship between a structural restoration force Frestore and a resistance force to the restoration Fresistance, thereby controlling the structural shape restoration speed and shape restoration degree. The present composite material has the outstanding characteristics of stable electric heat generation performance of the electric heating layers, adjustable structural shape restoration speed, and precisely controlled shape restoration degree, in the case of large bending deformation.
