Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an abnormal tissue detection device that can detect, with a high degree of accuracy, abnormal tissue at an examination site. [Solution] An abnormal tissue detection device detects components of a reflected wave from abnormal tissue, by comparing each of a plurality of reception signals IS_n and a reference signal SS generated by weighting, with a weighting coefficient, and adding up each of the plurality of reception signals IS_n. The weighting coefficients for each of the plurality of reception signals IS_n are determined so as to reduce, as compared to the case in which the weightings are equal, the total signal strength difference between each of the plurality of reception signals IS_n and the reference signal SS, in a section that includes a component of a direct wave from a transmission antenna to a reception antenna.
