Abstract:
An absorbable skull fixation lock system and a method for using the same, comprising an absorbable skull fixation lock and a locking device. The absorbable skull fixation lock system may be used by means of correctly implanting the absorbable skull fixation lock, pre-locking and final locking the absorbable skull fixation lock. Locking surfaces of upper and lower implanting locking plates (5, 6) are oval-shaped, the locking surfaces are designed to have teeth so as to prevent displacement, resulting in a more secure lock body effect wherein slide-off does not occur; a fixing pin (8) is used to ensure that when locked, the locking plates (5, 6) are centered and accurately aligned; a force limiting valve (2) is used to ensure that when a doctor locks the fixation lock, a same locking force is applied on each lock body. Operations of the present invention are simple in a skull fixation surgery, and as no additional equipment is required, the present invention is quick, time-saving and safer.
