Abstract:
[PROBLEMS] To prevent blood leakage from an absorbent article in a diagonally backward direction by removing wrinkles and twists formed in the part thereof being in contact with the rear of the bleeding port to the base of the hip to thereby avoid the formation of gap between the article and the body. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] An absorbent article which comprises a liquid-permeable surface sheet (3), a back face sheet (2) and an absorbent (4) located between them, and has a pair of right and left lengthwise embossed channels (7, 7) formed almost in the longitudinal direction in the liquid-permeable surface sheet (3) side, wherein the lengthwise embossed channels (7, 7) are in a tapered shape with the distance between them narrowing from the back side toward the front side of the absorbent article. In a preferable case, the lengthwise embossed channels (7, 7) are united together at the front edge side of the absorbent article, a widthwise embossed channel (8) in a convex shape toward the front edge is formed in the front side of the absorbent article, the lengthwise embossed channels (7, 7) are united together at the back edge side of the absorbent article too, and another widthwise embossed channel (9) in a convex shape toward the back edge of the absorbent article is formed in the back side of the absorbent article.
