Abstract:
Disclosed is an absorbent article which has an absorbent body containing traditional Chinese medicinal materials and which is capable of preventing fungus growth in the traditional Chinese medicinal materials without sacrificing the functional effect achieved by said materials. An absorbent article (1) is provided with at least a liquid-permeable front surface sheet (10), a liquid impermeable back surface sheet (20), and an absorbent body (30) positioned between the front surface sheet (10) and the back surface sheet (20), wherein the absorbent body (30) contains one or more kinds of traditional Chinese medicinal materials and said traditional Chinese medicinal materials undergo antifungal treatment with a halogen-based antifungal agent.
