Abstract:
Provided is an absorbent article exhibiting superior absorption performance. This absorbent article (1) has: at least two absorbent bodies (4, 5) which are layered in the thickness direction, and which absorb the bodily fluids of the wearer; a liquid-permeable sheet (2) which covers the surface of one of the at least two absorbent bodies, and through which the bodily fluids of the wearer permeate; and a liquid-impermeable sheet (3) which covers the surface of the other of the at least two absorbent bodies, and through which the bodily fluids of the wearer do not permeate. Among the at least two absorbent bodies (4, 5), the absorbent body (5) on the liquid-impermeable sheet (3) side contains non-wood pulp and a superabsorbent polymer, and the settling rate of the non-wood pulp in water is 2-5 seconds.
