Abstract:
In this absorbent article, the area of an overlapping portion of a back-side belt member and an absorbent main body is equal to or greater than the area of an overlapping portion of a stomach-side belt member and the absorbent main body. The stomach-side belt member and the back-side belt member overlap portions of extended leg-encircling elastic members and leakage prevention partition elastic members in the thickness direction. The length of the overlap of the portions of the extended leakage prevention partition elastic members and the back-side belt member is greater than the length of the overlap of the portions of the extended leg-encircling elastic members and the back-side belt member. At least one or both of stomach-side waist-encircling elastic members and back-side waist-encircling elastic members are cut in a region extending in the transverse direction between a pair of the leg-encircling elastic members and between a pair of the leakage prevention partition elastic members so that a portion thereof extending in the transverse direction outwardly from the cut site beyond the leg-encircling elastic members and the leakage prevention partition elastic members contracts.
