Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an absorbent article which enables accurate detection of excreted stool. [Solution] An absorbent article (1) which has a longitudinal direction, a width direction, and a thickness direction when spread and comprises an absorber (21) and a stool indicator (40) that is provided on the non-skin side of the absorber (21) in the thickness direction and reacts in a predetermined manner when in contact with stool, wherein the absorber (21) has an overlapping area (OA) which overlaps with the stool indicator (40) and a non-overlapping area (NA) which does not overlap with the stool indicator (40) when seen in the thickness direction, and the average permeability of the overlapping area (OA) with regard to artificial stool in the thickness direction is greater than the average permeability of the non-overlapping area (NA) with regard to artificial stool in the thickness direction.
