Abstract:
An absorbent item 1 has: an expansion/contraction sheet 56 that is expandable/contractable; and a thread-shaped or belt-shaped front elastic member 60 that is positioned so as to overlap with the expansion/contraction sheet 56 in a thickness direction T while in a condition of being elongated in a width direction W. The absorbent item 1 has a sheet region SR that is contractable in the width direction W due to at least the expansion/contraction sheet 56. The sheet region SR has a high contraction sheet region HSR in which the front elastic member 60 is positioned so as to overlap with the expansion/contraction sheet 56 in the thickness direction, and a low contraction sheet region LSR that is less contractable in the width direction W than the high contraction sheet region HSR. The high contraction sheet region HSR and the low contraction sheet region LSR are positioned lined up in the width direction W.
