Abstract:
An acceleration operation device that is installed on a steering bar (1) to enable manual acceleration operation and outputs the amount of the operation as an electric signal. The acceleration operation device has an acceleration grip (10) rotatably supported at the outer peripheral surface of the steering bar (1) so as to be coaxially rotatable about the axis of the steering bar (1), and has a sensor unit (40) including a rotor (41) for detection. The sensor unit (40) is received in the steering bar (1) and supported so as to be coaxially rotatable about the axis of the steering bar (1). The rotation of the acceleration grip (10) is transmitted to the rotor (41). Since the sensor unit (40) is received in the steering bar (1) to effectively use a space, the device can be reduced in size and water-proof and dust-proof capabilities are enhanced. Further, since the acceleration grip (10) and the rotor (21) are formed separately, rotation accuracy of the rotor is increased.
