Abstract:
An accelerator operation device fitted to a handle bar (1) for steering, used to manually perform accelerating operation and outputting its operation amount as electric signals. The device comprises an accelerator grip (10) supported on the outer peripheral surface of the handle bar (1) so as to be rotated coaxially therewith and a sensor unit (20) having a rotor (21) for detection supported on the outer peripheral surface of the handle bar (1) so as to be rotated coaxially therewith and to which the rotation of the accelerator grip (10) is transmitted. Since the sensor unit (20) can be collectively disposed around the handle bar (1), the device can be reduced in size. Also, since the accelerator grip (10) and the rotor (21) are formed separately from each other to transmit a rotating force, the rotating accuracy of the rotor can be increased.
