An accident detection device 20 is provided with: a possession detection unit 103 that uses a photographed images from a surveillance camera 10 to detect a person and a possession, which is an object possessed by the person; and an accident determination unit 104 that determines whether an accident has occurred on the basis of movement of the person and the possession in the photographed images from the surveillance camera 10.
