Abstract:
The present invention pertains to an acetalization product of an ethylenevinyl alcohol copolymer. The acetalization product contains 20-80 mol% of an ethylene unit and 4-76 mol% of a vinyl alcohol unit with reference to all monomeric units constituting the acetalization product, has a degree of acetalization of 3-80 mol%, satisfies formula (1): 0.71≤W0.05h/2f≤1.09 [W0.05h/2f represents a symmetry factor determined by reverse-phase partition gradient high-performance liquid chromatography analysis in accordance with JIS K 0124:2011 using a water-ethanol eluant] and formula (2): 1.20≤Tm/Tg≤1.35 [Tm and Tg represent a melting peak temperature (K) and a midpoint glass transition temperature (K), respectively, measured in accordance with JIS K7121:2012], and exhibits an oxygen permeation rate of at most 150 cc·20 μm/m2·day·atm at 20°C and 65%RH.
