Title:
ACOUSTIC INSULATION
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2006/013810
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
[PROBLEMS] To provide an acoustic insulation that despite being lightweight and thin, excels in sound absorbency even within a low frequency region. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] Use is made of an acoustic insulation of 5 to 30 mm thickness wherein there is at least one peak of normal incident sound absorption coefficient within the zone of 315 to 5000 Hz, the peak sound absorption coefficient being ≥ 80%. For example, setting of the sound absorption coefficient peak can be accomplished by effecting combining and integration, by means of through-passing multiple fibers, of a layer consisting of nonwoven fabric (A) of 10 to 70 g/m2 per-square-meter weight composed mainly of fibers of 1 to 25 μm diameter laminated with porous film layer (B) of a resin of ≥ 120&ring C melting point with staple fiber nonwoven fabric (C) of 7 to 50 μm diameter, 50 to 2000 g/m2 per-square-meter weight and 4 to 30 mm thickness.
