Title:
ACOUSTIC ULTRASONIC WAVE IMAGING APPARATUS
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2010/077044
Kind Code:
A2
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an acoustic ultrasonic wave imaging apparatus comprising: a pulse laser beam irradiating unit which irradiates the pulse laser beam generated by a Q-switch CW laser; a rotating mirror which enables the pulse laser beam to be irradiated at a high speed to an object along a scanning path; a contact sensor and a non-contact sensor which sense one-dimensional acoustic ultrasonic waves generated by the object which is irradiated with the pulse laser beam; and an image processing control unit which scans the one-dimensional acoustic ultrasonic wave signal output from the sensors, rearranges the scanned signal into a three-dimensional data structure constituted by a horizontal axis, a vertical axis, and a time axis, and outputs images, so as to subtract an average of amplitude for each time zone from the acoustic ultrasonic wave signal output by the sensors to remove an error, and output the spatial distribution of amplitude in accordance with the time of the acoustic ultrasonic wave signal output by the sensors, which is rearranged in the three-dimensional data structure, or re-output the distribution of amplitude in the three-dimensional data structure while moving one of the signals acquired from two adjacent scan points by a sampling distance to minimize the difference between the two signals, wherein said control unit outputs images in a reddish color when the amplitude is higher and in a bluish color when the amplitude is lower. As described above, the present invention scans the pulse laser beam, collects acoustic ultrasonic waves generated by the object in a remote place, scans the remotely collected acoustic ultrasonic waves in a two-dimensional space (horizontal axis to vertical axis) and in a time space, outputs three-dimensional images, and scans and inspects the object via the plurality of sensors mounted on the object or spaced apart from the object, or via coupling a transmitted/received laser beam to quantify the amount of damage caused by the generation of acoustic ultrasonic waves.
