Abstract:
In the present invention, the IDT-reflector gap is the distance between a comb electrode finger closest to a reflector (12) of an acoustic wave element (10) and a reflective electrode finger closest to an IDT electrode (11). The center-to-center distance between adjacent electrode fingers is taken to be the pitch. The nth end-side electrode finger is the electrode finger sequentially nearer to the center relative to the comb electrode finger closest to the reflector, and the nth end-side pitch is the pitch between the nth end-side electrode finger and the (n+1)th end-side electrode finger. The average IDT pitch is the value of the average of each pitch derived from all the comb electrode fingers, and the average reflector pitch is the value of the average of each pitch derived from the reflective electrode fingers. Assuming x to be the ratio of the nth end-side pitch to the average IDT pitch, and y to be the ratio of the IDT-reflector gap to the average reflector pitch, the nth end-side pitch and the IDT-reflector gap are both values within a region (A1) surrounded by the curve made from (Formula 1) and the curve made from (Formula 2).
