Abstract:
A vehicle-mounted machine of an action-permitting device for a saddle riding type vehicle is provided with: a first operation unit and a second operation unit which are disposed in mutually different positions and which accept operations requesting actions of a plurality of controlled objects; a vehicle-mounted machine side transmitting unit which transmits a request signal to a portable machine if the first operation unit or the second operation unit is operated; and a control unit. The control unit permits an action of a first controlled object if the vehicle-mounted machine receives an answer signal from the portable machine and the reception strength of the request signal is at least equal to a first threshold, and the control unit permits an action of a second controlled object if the vehicle-mounted machine receives an answer signal from the portable machine. The distance between a transmission antenna of the vehicle-mounted machine side transmitting unit and the second operation unit is at least equal to the distance between the transmission antenna and the first operation unit.
