Abstract:
The present invention relates to the technical field of low-voltage electrical devices. Provided is an actuation mechanism for a circuit breaker. The actuation mechanism for a circuit breaker comprises: a pair of side panels positioned face to face; a cam assembly and an energy storage lever assembly which are rotatably disposed between the pair of side panels; and a spring assembly located between the pair of side panels. The cam assembly comprises a cam lobe set and a camshaft. The camshaft is rotatably disposed between the pair of side panels. The cam lobe set is fixed at the camshaft. The actuation mechanism is characterized in that: the cam assembly further comprises a striking member rotating synchronously with the cam lobe set; the energy storage lever assembly is provided with a struck member, and during an energy release process, the spring assembly causes the cam assembly to rotate and causes the energy storage lever assembly to rotate; and when the cam assembly rotates, the striking member rotates and strikes the struck member, and the striking member applies to the struck member a torque in a direction consistent with a direction of rotation of the energy storage lever assembly during a closing process. The above arrangement can effectively prevent excessive rotation of a cam assembly, and transfer energy generated from rotation of the cam assembly to an energy storage lever assembly, thereby increasing an energy utilization rate of an actuation mechanism.
