Abstract:

There is disclosed an additional information processing device (10) capable of limiting the number of times a content such as a confidential document can be copied or easily enabling trace of a history of copying. The additional information processing device (10) includes: an image acquisition unit (2) for acquiring input image data where additional information is embedded; an extraction unit (20) for extracting the additional information from the input image data; and an additional information modification unit (24) which operates as follows. When the additional information is judged to match with a predetermined condition, the additional information modification unit (24) modifies the content of the additional information so as to generate new additional information and embeds the new additional information into the image data obtained by removing the additional information from the input image data or into the input image data, thereby generating copied image data.
