Title:
ADDITIVE AGENT SUPPLY DEVICE FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINES
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2014/027394
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
An engine (1) is provided with, in an exhaust channel (26), a urea water supply mechanism (200) for supplying urea water. The urea water supply mechanism (200) comprises a tank (210) for storing the urea water, a pump (220) for delivering the urea water, a supply tube (240), a tank heater for heating the urea water in the tank (210), a pump heater for heating the urea water in the pump (220), and a channel heater for heating the urea water in the supply tube (240). A controller (80) adds urea by driving the pump (220) after heating control begins by way of the tank heater, pump heater, and channel heater. Then, the controller (80) outputs a signal indicating a tank heater abnormality when the urea water pressure in the supply tube (240) decreases while adding the urea and the amount of remaining urea water detected by a level sensor (250) indicates that urea water is remaining in the tank (210).
