The invention relates to an additive for animal feed, foodstuffs, drinking water or pharmaceutical preparations, produced from at least one species of cornelian cherry, in particular Cornus mas, Cornus officinalis, Cornus chinensis or Cornus eydeana , containing at least one of the following components, selected from cornelian cherry meal, cornelian cherry core extract and/or isolated active substances of the cornelian cherry cores and optionally, at least one component selected from base materials, formulation auxiliary agents and/or biologically active components.
