Abstract:
The present invention pertains to an additive for a electrochemical element positive electrode, the additive having a specific surface area, determined by the BET method, of 1300-2500 m2/g, a pore volume of pores having a diameter of 2 nm or more of 0.35 cm3/g or less, a pore volume of pores having a pore diameter less than 2 nm of 0.5 cm3/g or more, and an ash content of 0.5 wt% or less, and the additive comprising activated carbon.
