Abstract:
Provided is an additive for a hydraulic material. The additive makes it possible to improve the adhesion of a paste portion of a mortar, cement, or the like to an aggregate. The present invention is an additive for a hydraulic material. The additive includes (meth)acrylate copolymer emulsion particles. The additive is characterized in that the copolymer emulsion particles: include, per 100 mass% of total structural units, 80–99.9 mass% of a structural unit (a) that is derived from an alkyl (meth)acrylate that includes a C3–20 alkyl group and 0.1–10 mass% of a structural unit (b) that is derived from a (meth)acrylic acid (salt); and have a glass transition temperature of -50°C or lower.
