Title:
ADDITIVE SUPPLY DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2014/041657
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
During operation of an internal combustion engine (1), in order to add urea water from an addition valve (17) to an exhaust passage (8), the urea water in a tank (15) is drawn up by way of running a pump (16) in forward and supplied to piping (14) and the addition valve (17). Meanwhile, when the internal combustion engine (1) is stopped, the pump (16) is run in reverse for executing a recovery process to recover the urea water in the addition valve (17) and piping (14) to the tank (15), and by the reverse operation, the urea water is drawn into the same pump (16) and high temperature exhaust in the exhaust passage (8) is drawn into the addition valve (17) and piping (14). In addition, the recovery process is terminated, during execution of the recovery process, when the temperature detected by a temperature sensor (31) is a high value of no less than a threshold value, in other words, when a fluid, the temperature thereof subject to detection by the temperature sensor (31), changes from the urea water into exhaust gas with a temperature higher than the urea water.
