Abstract:
An adhesive composition which can have excellent life performance and can have a wide margin for mounting, the composition comprising a cationically polymerizable compound, a hardening catalyst based on both an aluminum chelate and a silanol, and a nucleophilic compound containing a sulfur atom having an unshared electron pair. The nucleophilic compound is a thiol compound or an episulfide compound. The hardening catalyst based on an aluminum chelate and a silanol comprises an aluminum chelate hardener and either a silanol compound or a silane coupling agent. The aluminum chelate hardener is a latent aluminum chelate hardener supported on a porous resin obtained by interfacial polymerization of a polyfunctional isocyanate compound.
