Description:
Adhesive tape roll holder and adhesive tape-cutting apparatus having the same Technical Field The present invention relates to the field of cutting an adhesive tape in order to cut in a fixed length an adhesive tape having the shape of roll used to attach the joint parts of wrapping paper so that wrapping paper, which have packed goods in department stores, general stores, and etc., may not get untied. More particularly, the present invention relates to an adhesive tape roll holder and an adhesive tape-cutting apparatus having the adhesive tape roll holder and, with which an adhesive tape roll can be easily replaced without having an additional wheel for inserting the roll of an adhesive tape (hereinafter it will be called"adhesive tape roll") having a different diameter, in order to prevent a user's finger from being injured at the time of cutting the adhesive tape by a fixed cutting blade and in order to draw out and cut the adhesive tape easily from the adhesive tape roll without having a wheel for inserting an adhesive tape, with the adhesive tape roll holder coming in contact with the outside or the inside of the adhesive tape roll which can be installed inside or outside of the adhesive tape roll at the time of drawing out an adhesive tape from an adhesive tape roll.

Background Art Generally speaking, it is widely known that there are adhesive tapes which are attached on the joint parts of wrapping paper in order to prevent wrapping paper, which has packed goods, from getting untied. One of these adhesive tapes is an adhesive tape having the shape of a roll on which several hundred rolls of adhesive tapes are rolled up, wherein the roll has a hollow having a certain diameter.

As an embodiment of an apparatus for cutting these adhesive tapes, this inventor was granted a patent disclosed in Korean Utility Model Publication No. 92-4048. In this apparatus, an adhesive tape gets untied from an adhesive tape roll and is cut continuously in a certain length by a cutting blade if an additional wheel is inserted on the hollow of an adhesive tape roll and an rotating roller. on which a plurality of arms. where the attaching surface of the tape are attached, are formed, are rotated manually by using a driving knob. Referring to FIG. 1 through FIG. 3, we will describe the apparatus briefly as following.

An adhesive tape-cutting apparatus 1 shown in FIG. 1 includes a pair of base member 2 and 3 which is united together by a bolt and a nut, wherein support plates 4 and 5 are formed integrally respectively, and a protrusion 6 and another support plate 7 are formed integrally on upper part of the base member 3. As shown in FIG. 2, a slant slot 8 is formed on the support plates 4 and 5. Also, vertical slots 9 are formed respectively on support plates 5 and 7 (FIG. 1 shows only a slot 9).

Also, among support plates 4,5 and 7 an adhesive tape rolls Tl and T2 and a rotating roller 10 are mounted and installed respectively, and a pressing member 11 is installed on the back side of the rotating roller 10, as shown in FIG. 2. A cutting roller 12 is installed on the lower side of the pressing member 11.

Meanwhile, as shown in FIG. 3, a tape wheel 13, which is inserted into the inside of an adhesive tape rolls Tl and T2, is inserted into the first adhesive tape roll T1 or the second adhesive tape roll T2 and is constituted with an outer body 13a coming in contact with its inner surface by being inserted into the first adhesive tape roll T1 or the second adhesive tape roll T2, a middle body 13b which is inserted into the inside of the outer body 13a, and an inner body 13c which is inserted into a middle body 13b. The reason why the wheel 13 is constituted with

a plurality of parts is that it is intended to use an adhesive tape roll having the different diameter by inserting it selectively. Accordingly. in order to insert them into the inside diameter of an adhesive tape roll which a user wants to use, the outer body 13a and the middle body 13b excepting for inner body 13c should be made to have a variety of sizes.

In the conventional adhesive tape-cutting apparatus configured as the above, as shown in FIG. 2, the attaching surface of tape turns up after drawing out the adhesive tape from the first adhesive tape roll T1, is attached on the end edge of an arm among a plurality of arms lOa of the rotating roller 10 which receives elastic pressure by encountering a pressing globe 11, and then is attached on the end edge of the arm sequentially if the rotating roller 10 is rotated in a clockwise rotation.

In this time, the adhesive tape proceeds in the direction of an arrow. Also during this movement, the cutting roller 12 is rotated according to the rotation of the follower gear 12a which receives the rotating force from the main gear lOb of the rotating gear lOb and cut the adhesive tape by the cutting blade 12b, so that in the end, the pieces of an adhesive tape sticks to the end edge of the arm on the rotating roller 10 and then a user can use the pieces of an adhesive tape at the time of wrapping.

In order to cut an adhesive tape from the second adhesive tape roll T2, the adhesive tape is drawn out in the left direction from the right direction of FIG. 1 as long as appropriate length, and then the adhesive tape is cut by giving fingers a force by positioning the adhesive tape, which an user wants to cut, onto the cutting blade 6a which is mounted on the top of a protrusion 6.

However, the above conventional adhesive tape-cutting apparatus has several drawbacks in that not only the production cost is increased since

the wheel, which is inserted and drawn out onto the back edge of the support plates formed integrally on the top surface of a base member, should be made to conform with the internal diameter of an adhesive tape roll. but also in the case of inserting and using an adhesive tape roll which is different in internal diameter from the standard, it is required to replace the unnecessary wheel with the specially made wheel appropriate to the different diameter and there is a concern about losing the replaced wheel during taking the wheel in custody.

Also there still remains another drawback in that sometimes there occurs the injury of fingers due to the cutting blade since a user's finger might be touched on the cutting blade because the user should exert a force from his finger in the case of cutting an adjective tape which gets untied from the second adhesive tape roll as shown in FIG. 1.

This invention is intended to solve the above described drawbacks and the fundamental object of this invention is to provide an adhesive tape-cutting apparatus which can reduce the production cost as well as which has a simple structure of an adhesive tape roll since an adhesive tape roll can be easily and simply replaced without using an additional wheel for inserting an adhesive tape roll having a different diameter.

Another object of this invention is to provide an adhesive tape-cutting apparatus which can draw out and cut easily an adhesive tape from an adhesive tape without an additional wheel, with a tape roll holder, which can be installed inside or outside of an adhesive tape roll, coming in contact with the inside or the outside of an adhesive tape roll at the time of drawing out an adhesive tape, and which prevent even a user's finger from becoming injured at all at the time of cutting an adhesive tape with a fixed cutting blade.

Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention The followings are the desirable embodiments according to this invention which is described according to the attached drawings.

Since the adhesive tape-cutting apparatus according to the first embodiments of this invention having the structure, in which there is no additional wheel for supporting an adhesive tape roll T1 and T2, is shown in FIG. 4 and FIG. 5, its detailed description will be omitted because, in these drawings, the reference number of these drawings means the same parts as in FIG. 1 and FIG. 2.

Referring to FIG. 4 and FIG. 5, the adhesive tape-cutting apparatus 100 includes base members 110 and 112 which becomes fixed by a connecting rod unshown in the drawing and support plates 114 and 115 are formed integrally respectively, and vertically on base members 110 and 112.

Referring to FIG. 1 and FIG. 2 as described already, a manual type of rotating roller 10 having a plurality of arms which have an attaching part, on which an adhesive tape is attached at the time of rotation between support plates 114 and 115, a pressing member 111 which makes an adhesive tape, which is getting untied from the first adhesive tape roll T1, pressed elastically on the attaching part of the above rotating roller 10, a rotating cutting member 12 for cutting continuously an adhesive tape sticking to an attaching part of the rotating roller 10 which is linked when the rotating roller 10 is rotated, and the rotating cutting member 12 which is rotated according to the rotation of the follower gear 12a which receives the rotating force from the idle gears 120 and 121 jointing with the driving gear lOb which is rotated along with the rotating roller 10.

As understood by comparing with FIG. 2 and FIG. 4, in the adhesive tape-cutting apparatus 100 according to this invention, the position of the rotating cutting member is made to be changed and the pressing member and the rotating cutting member is made to be rotated by receiving the driving force from a plurality of idle gears, but their functions are the same as those in FIG. 2.

Referring to FIG. 4, a fixed cutting member 122 having a cutting blade 6a for cutting in any length an adhesive tape untied from an adhesive tape roll T2 is formed integrally on the support plate 115.

As shown in FIG. 4, the first tape roll holder makes an adhesive tape gets untied in a tense (a tight) state from an adhesive tape roll T1 by preventing an adhesive tape roll T1 from moving excessively toward the rotating roller 10 at the time of drawing out an adhesive tape by coming in contact with the outside of an adhesive tape roll T1.

Accordingly, in this invention, the first tape roll holder 130 plays a role of preventing an adhesive tape roll T1 from moving by coming

in contact with the outside of the adhesive tape roll T1 moving toward the rotating roller 10 in the case that the above first adhesive tape roll T1 is pulled by the above rotating roller 10 at the time of cutting an adhesive tape untied from the adhesive tape roll T1. Accordingly since the first tape holder 130 is installed on support plates 114 and 115 and an adhesive tape roll T1 is rotated without having a fixed rotating axis, the first tape roll holder 130 comprises lateral plates 131 and 132 having pin 131a and 132a combined with coupling holes 114a and 115a formed on the support plates 114 and 115 and two press bars 134 and 135 formed an end edge of a lever 133 mounted between lateral plates 131 and 132, is rotated by centering around pin 131a and 132a when exchanging the first adhesive tape Tl, and presses the outside of the adhesive tape roll Tl when the rotating roller 10 is rotated.

Meanwhile, in this invention, the second tape roll holder 140 plays a role of preventing the movement of an adhesive tape roll T2 from being rotated without having a fixed axis by coming in contact with the outside of an adhesive tape roll T2 moving towards the fixed cutting member 122 in the case that the adhesive tape roll T2 is pulled out by a user's fingers when cutting the adjective tape untied from the adhesive tape roll T2 as shown in FIG. 4 and FIG. 5 Accordingly, in the second tape roll holder 140, the covers 117a and 117b is formed integrally on the base member 112 and the respective support plate 115 in order not to fall but to house it by blocking partially one upper side and lower side of the adhesive tape roll T2.

Also as the second tape roll holder 140 is mounted on the lower edge of a side from the inside of this cover 117a, it is constituted with a press bar 142 which is inserted and installed to be rotated by centering around the axis 141 in order to prevent the adhesive tape roll T2 from being moved toward the fixed cutting member 122 and, at the same time, presses

the adhesive tape which gets untied from the adhesive tape roll T2 and drawn out toward a fixed cutting member 122.

As shown in FIG. 4, a fixed cutting member 122 protrudes comparatively higher than the cutting blade 6a in order to prevent a user's finger from being injure by the cutting blade 6a, when cutting an adhesive tape which gets untied from the adhesive tape T2.

As shown in FIG. 5, the unexplained reference number 150 is a slide-preventing member which sticks to the lower surface of the respective base member 110 and 112 in order not to be slipped in the case of putting on a table or a desk and 160 is a roller for supporting, approximately, the lower part of the adhesive tape roll Tl and preventing the adhesive tape roll Tl from approaching towards the rotating roller 10.

The operational state according to the 1st embodiment of this invention, which is configured as the above, can be described as follows.

First of all, if describing the cutting state of the adhesive tape roll Tl, the first tape roll holder 130, which is mounted between support plates 114 and 115, is rotated (opened) into the position of two-dot chain line by centering around pins 131a and 132a, and the adhesive tape roll T1 is inserted and the attaching surface of its edge is attached on the attaching part of the rotating roller 10 with the attaching part pulling the end edge of the adhesive tape untied toward top from the adhesive tape roll Tl.

By rotating the first tape roll holder 130 opened in this state in the direction of an arrow, making two press bars 134 and 135 press the outside of the adhesive tape roll Tl certainly, making the adhesive tape roll T1 not approach to the rotating roller 10, and rotating the rotating roller 10 in clockwise rotation, the adhesive tape roll T1 is rotated according to sequential sticking to attaching part of the respective arm,

with an adhesive tape getting untied and descending to the rotating roller 10 as a natural result.

As the adhesive tape roll T1 comes in contact with the rotatable press bars 134 and 135 where an peripheral lead constitutes the first tape roll holder 130, the adhesive tape roll T1 is blocked not to move in the direction of the rotating roller 10 any more. After that, the adhesive tape untied from the adhesive tape roll T1 can be attached certainly as it becomes tense in a tight state. Also as the adhesive tape roll Tl can be rotated without receiving the interference of rotation, the adhesive tape can get untied smoothly from the adhesive tape roll T1. Accordingly the adhesive tape attached to the rotating roller 10 can be cut continuously in a certain length by the cutting blade of a rotating cutting member 12 which is linked.

The following is the description about the cutting state of an adhesive tape roll T2. The adhesive tape roll T2 is inserted in the right direction of the cover 117a as shown in FIG. 4. Then, a upper front side and a lower edge in the adhesive tape roll T2 are supported by a side extension of a cover 117a and another cover 117a respectively.

At this state, the adhesive tape is guided and drawn out in the state that the attaching surface faces the base part of the press bar 142 which is rotatable and is constituted with the second tape roll holder 140 mounted in the neighborhood of the lower edge of the cover 117a by ripping off, and then pulling the end edge of the adhesive tape in the adhesive tape roll T2.

In order to cut the adhesive tape drawn out in this way, the adhesive tape is cut by the cutting blade 6a by pressing the cutting part after passing the cutting blade 6a as long as a user wants to cut it. At this time, as shown in FIG. 4, there is no concern about a user's fingers being cut at the time of the press operation since the fixed cutting

member 122 protrudes higher than the cutting blade 6a.

As described as the above, in the case of the adhesive tape-cutting apparatus according to the 1st embodiment of this invention, since the press bars 134 and 135 keeps in touch with the peripheral lead of the adhesive tape roll T1 in the case that the adhesive tape roll T1 is drawn out by the rotating roller 10 at the time of cutting the adhesive tape drawn out from the cylindrical adhesive tape roll T1 inserted between the support plates 114 and 115, the adhesive tape roll T1 can be rotatable between the support plates 114 and 115 (that is. even though the center of rotation does not have a fixed axis of rotation.) without having the wheel of a fixed diameter as seen in the conventional technology.

Also, in the case that the adhesive tape is cut by the fixed cutting blade 6a, as shown in FIG. 4, since the fixed cutting member 122 protrudes higher than the cutting blade 6a, there is an advantage in that the operator can perform his cutting operation without having any worry or concern about the injury of fingers.

As shown in the 2nd embodiment of this invention in FIG. 6 and FIG.

7, the detailed description about these will be omitted since these drawings use the same reference number for indicating the same parts as in FIG. 4 through FIG. 5.

As understood in FIG. 6, the first tape roll holder 230 is a cover type tape roll holder which is rotated by centering around pin 131a and 132a when exchanging the first adhesive tape roll Tl and which is made to press outside of the first adhesive tape roll T1 when rotating the rotating roller 10, with being constituted with the press bar 231 mounted between the lateral plates 131 and 132 and the lateral plate 131 and 132 having pin 131a and 132a combined with coupling holes 114a and 115a formed on the first and the second support plates 114 and 115 in order to block the movement of the first adhesive tape roll T1 by keeping in

contact with the outside of the first adhesive tape roll T1 which is moved toward the rotating roller 10 in the case that the first adhesive tape roll T1 is drawn out by the rotating roller 10 at the time of cutting the adhesive tape untied from the first adhesive tape roll T1.

Also, the first tape roll holder 230 further includes guide plate 232 which is movable in order to prevent the adhesive tape roll T1 moving freely according to the width and number of the adhesive tape roll inserted between the support plates 114 and 115. Accordingly, in the case that the width of the adhesive tape roll T1 is wider, the guide plate 232 can be placed toward the lateral plates 131 and 132 and in the case that two narrow adhesive tape rolls are used, the guide plate 232 can be placed in the middle area.

As described in the above, in the case of the adhesive tape-cutting apparatus the second embodiment of this invention, since the press bars 231 keeps in touch with the peripheral lead of the adhesive tape roll T1 in the case that the adhesive tape roll Tl is drawn out by the rotating roller 10 at the time of cutting the adhesive tape drawn out from the cylindrical adhesive tape roll Tl inserted between the support plates 114 and 115, the adhesive tape roll T1 can be rotatable between the support plates 114 and 115 (that is, even though the center of rotation does not have a fixed axis of rotation.) without having the wheel of a fixed diameter as seen in the conventional technology.

As shown is the tape-cutting apparatus according to the 3rd embodiment of this invention in FIG. 8 and FIG. 9, the detailed description about these will be omitted since these drawings use the same reference number for indicating the same parts as in FIG. 4 through FIG.

5.

As shown in FIG. 8, the first tape roll holder is installed to pass another edge through the respective holes 315a and 315b and 315c formed

on the support plate 315 of another side at the state of holding the knob of the axis 331 from the direction of the respective holes 314a. 314b and 314c formed into the support plate 314 of a side, but it is installed to be able to rotate the press bar 332 between the respective support plates 314 and 315 on the same axis, as it is an inserting and taking out type of tape roll holder 330 which can insert tape rolls into a plurality of holes 315a. 315b and 315c formed respectively to have a certain space on the support plates 314 and 315.

If describing this in a more concrete way. as the adhesive tape roll T1 can have a different external diameter, in order to cope with the situation, on the support plates 314 and 315, as shown in FIG. 9, are formed a plurality of holes not only corresponding to a plurality of holes 315a, 315b and 315c (the holes formed on the support plate 314 are not shown in FIG. 8 and FIG. 9, but these holes was formed on the places corresponding to 315a, 315b and 315c) but also formed respectively in a designated height and space considering the blocking positions of other adhesive tape roll Tl having different sizes, so that the tape roll holders can be inserted and mounted selectively into the corresponding holes according to the size of an adhesive tape roll T1 and the tapes falling down from the adhesive tape roll Tl having the different sizes can be housed and blocked properly even though they are cut.

That is, as understood in FIG. 9, in the case that the tape roll holder 330 is inserted and installed into the upper hole 315a, it is possible to block the outer side of the adhesive tape roll Tl having a big diameter: in the case that the tape roll holder 330 is inserted and installed into the lowest hole, it is possible to select and block the outer side of the adhesive tape roll T1 having the smallest diameter.

Also, in the case of housing simultaneously and cutting the respective adhesive tapes which have different sizes, if installing the

first tape roll holder 330 into the respective holes 315a, 315b and 315c considering the sizes of the adhesive tapes which is housed, it is possible to house simultaneously and cut conveniently the adhesive tapes which have different sizes.

Accordingly, in this invention. the first tape roll holder 330 plays a role of blocking the movement of the adhesive tape roll T1 by coming in contact with the outside or the inside of the adhesive tape roll T1 which is moved toward rotating roller 10 in the case that the adhesive tape roll T1 is pulled by the rotating roller 10 when an adhesive tape, which gets untied from the adhesive tape roll T1, is cut. Accordingly, the first tape roll holder 330 is rotated without the adhesive tape roll Tl having the fixed axis of rotation by being installed on the support plates 314 and 315.

The following is the description about the operational status of the adhesive tape-cutting apparatus according to the 3rd embodiment of this invention.

As shown in FIG. 8 and FIG. 9, the adhesive tape roll Tl is inserted after separating the first tape roll holder 330 mounted between the support plates 314 and 315 and the attaching surface of its edge is attached on the attaching part of the rotating roller 10 with the attaching part pulling, as long as in a fixed length, the end edge of the adhesive tape untied so that the attaching part faces turns up on the adhesive tape roll Tl. In this state, if rotating the rotating roller 10 in to the direction of an arrow by using the driving knob after mounting the first tape roll holder 330, which has been separated, into the predetermined hole having the proper blocking position of the adhesive tape roll T1 (refer to FIG. 9), the adhesive tape roll T1 is rotated according to sequentially attaching on the attaching part of the respective arms with the adhesive tape untied.

However, the adhesive tape roll T1 drawn out toward the rotating roller 10 does not move toward the rotating roller 10 any more and is blocked since the outer peripheral lead keeps in touch with the rotatable press bar 332 constituted with the first tape roll holder 330 and after that, the adhesive tape untied from the adhesive tape roll T1 is tense in a tight state, so that it can be certainly attached, and since the adhesive tape roll Tl is rotated without having any interference of rotation by the press bar 332 rotated by centering around axis 331, the adhesive tape can be smoothly untied from the adhesive tape roll T1.

Accordingly, the adhesive tape attached on the rotating roller 10, as described by referring to FIG. 5, is cut continuously in a fixed length by the cutting blade 12b of the rotating cutting member 12.

As described in the above, in the adhesive tape-cutting apparatus according to the 3rd embodiment of this invention, the adhesive tape roll T1, as seen in the conventional apparatus, can be rotated between support plates 314 and 315 without the wheel having the fixed diameter (that is, without having the rotating axis where the center of rotation is always fixed) since the press bar 332 keeps in contact with the outer peripheral lead of the adhesive tape roll Tl in the case of the adhesive tape roll T1 being pulled by the rotating roller 10 at the time of cutting the adhesive tape drawn out from the cylindrical adhesive tape roll T1 inserted between support plates 314 and 315; moreover, since the press bar 332 is rotated on the axis 331, the adhesive tape can be smoothly untied from the adhesive tape roll T1 rotated without having any interference of rotation.

In addition to this, there is an advantage in that the adhesive tape roll T1 having different sizes can be, as necessary, housed and cut without a limit by changing the first tape roll holder 330 and inserting and installing it into the respective holes 315a. 315b and 315c not only

corresponding to the support plates 314 and 315 in the same height but also being formed in the designated height and space.

However, in the adhesive tape-cutting apparatus 300 according to the 3rd embodiment, in the case of attaching the adhesive tape from the adhesive tape roll T1 on the attaching part of the rotating roller 10 at the initial stage, there is some troublesome in that axis 331 and press bar 332 are disassembled and assembled one by one.

Accordingly, this inventor developed an adhesive tape-cutting apparatus according to the 4th embodiment of this invention as shown in FIG. 10 and FIG. 11 in order to solve these drawbacks.

The adhesive tape-cutting apparatus 400 according to the 4th embodiment of this invention shown in FIG. 10 and FIG. 11 is the same as the adhesive tape-cutting apparatus according to the 3rd embodiment excepting that it is made to substitute the rotating type of tape roll holder 430 formed on the support plate for the fixed tape roll holder 330 made by the press bar 332 of the 3rd embodiment at the time of the rotation of the rotating roller 10 so as to press the outside of the adhesive tape roll Tl.

Accordingly since the reference number of the these drawings indicates the same parts as those of FIG. 8 and FIG. 9, the detailed description of them will be omitted.

Referring to FIG. 10, the rotating type of tape roll holder 430 is constituted with the press bar 432 where an end of a side is fixed to be rotated as a fixed axis 431 on the support plate 415 and can be rotated on this and a narrow groove 434 for narrowing the other edge of the axis 431 formed on the support plate 414.

In the adhesive tape-cutting apparatus 400 configured as the above. in the case of attaching the adhesive tape on the attaching part of the rotating roller 10 from the adhesive tape roll initially, an end of a

side of the rotating press bar 432 is separated from the narrow groove 434 and is lifted up to be centered around the fixed axis 431. At this time, drawing out the end of the adhesive tape from the adhesive tape roll T1 housed between support plates 414 and 415, attaching it on the attaching part of the rotating roller 10, inserting the end edge of the press bar 432 into the narrow groove 434 again, and rotating the rotating roller 10 in the direction of an arrow (please refer to FIG. 11), the adhesive tape roll T1 is rotated the moment it is drawn toward the rotating roller 10.

At this time, as the outer peripheral lead of the adhesive tape roll Tl keeps in contact with the press bar 432, the adhesive tape roll Tl does not move toward the rotating roller 10 any more, after that, the adhesive tape roll T1 continues to be rotated and. at the time of rotating continuously the rotating roller 10, the adhesive tape roll Tl continues to get untied, so that the cutting blade 12b cuts the adhesive tape in a fixed and fixed length as described with reference to FIG. 5.

As described above, the adhesive tape-cutting apparatus according to the 4th embodiment is operated by lifting up the press bar 432, attaching the end edge of the adhesive tape on the rotating roller 10 and closing the press bar 432 again, in the case of drawing out the adhesive tape from the adhesive tape roll T1 inserted between the support plates 414 and 415 and attaching it on the rotating roller 10 initially. Also the adhesive tape roll T1 can be easily rotated without a limit between the support plates 414 and 415 without using an additional wheel both having a fixed diameter and having the rotating axis, on which the center of rotation is fixed, as the conventional technology, since the press bar 432 keeps contact with the peripheral lead of the adhesive tape roll Tl in the case of pulling the adhesive tape roll Tl by the rotating roller 10 at the time of cutting the adhesive tape. Moreover since the press bar

432 is rotated on the axis 431, the adhesive tape can get untied smoothly from the adhesive tape roll T1.

The 5th embodiment of the adhesive tape-cutting apparatus according to this invention is shown in FIG. 12 and FIG. 13 and since the reference number in these drawings indicates the same parts as those of the drawings for the 1st embodiment through the 4th embodiment, the detailed description on these will be omitted.

The adhesive tape-cutting apparatus according to the 5th embodiment plays a role of blocking the movement of the adhesive tape roll T1 by coming in contact with the inside of the first adhesive tape roll Tl which is moved toward rotating roller 10 in the case that the first adhesive tape roll T1 is pulled by rotating roller 10 at the time of cutting an adhesive tape getting untied from first adhesive tape roll T1.

Accordingly, the adhesive tape roll holder is made to be installed at the place close to the end edge of the support plates 514 and 515 and is rotated without the adhesive tape roll Tl having a fixed rotating axis.

The first tape roll holder 530 shown in FIG. 12 is designed to block the movement of the adhesive tape roll Tl in order to prevent the adhesive tape roll Tl from moving excessively toward the rotating roller 10 at the time of drawing out the adhesive tape by keeping in touch with the inside of the adhesive tape roll T1 as seen in FIG. 13. The tape roll holder 530 shown in FIG. 12 is a inserting type of tape roll holder formed the place close to the end edge of the support plates 514 and 515 (the foremost left side of the support plate when looking at FIG. 12) in order to hold the inside of the adhesive tape roll T1 at the time of the rotation of the rotation roller 10 and it is constituted with the press bar 532 which is rotatable along with the axis 531 pressing the inside of the adhesive tape roll T1 with both end edges being inserted into the inserting holes 520 and 515 and the inserting holes 520 and 522 formed

respectively on the supporting plates 514 and 515.

The cutting state of the adhesive tape roll Tl in the adhesive tape-cutting apparatus 500 configured as the above can be described as shown in FIG. 12 and FIG. 13 as having the operations of separating the first tape roll holder 530 mounted between the support plates 514 and 515, inserting the adhesive tape roll Tl. pulling, as long as in a fixed length, the end edge of the adhesive tape where the attaching part got untied at the state of turning up on the adhesive tape roll T1, and attaching the attaching surface of the end edge onto the attaching part of rotating roller 10. At this state, the first tape roll holder 530 which was separated is combined, so that it places the press bar 532 between support plates 514 and 515, inserts a side of the axis 531, on which a knob of a side is formed, through a hole 522 formed on the support plate 515, and then inserts and installs it into the holes 520 formed on the support plate 514 passing through the hole of the press bar 532. Also after that, if the rotating roller 10 is rotated in the direction of an arrow by using the driving knob (refer to FIG. 13), the adhesive tape roll Tl is rotated according to sequentially attaching on the attaching part of the respective arms with the adhesive tape gotten untied and drawn out toward the rotating roller 10 in a natural way.

However the adhesive tape roll T1, which is drawn out toward the rotating roller 10, is blocked without moving toward the rotating roller 10 any more, since the inner peripheral lead keeps in touch with the press bar 532 which is rotatable and constitutes the first tape roll holder 530. After that, the adhesive tape roll T1, which got untied from the tape roll T1, can be attached surely as it becomes tight in a tense state. The adhesive tape can get untied smoothly from the adhesive tape roll T1 since the adhesive tape roll is rotated by the press bar 532 which is rotated by centering around the axis 531 without receiving any

interference of rotation at all. Accordingly, the adhesive tape attached on the rotating roller 10 can be cut continuously in a fixed length continuously by the cutting blade 12b of the rotating cutting member 12 which is linked.

The adhesive tape-cutting apparatus 500 according to the 5th embodiment of this invention as seen in the above, the adhesive tape roll T1 can be easily rotated without any limit between the support plates 514 and 515 even without using additionally a wheel having a fixed diameter which has the rotating axis where the center of rotation is fixed as in the conventional technology, since the press bar 532 keeps in contact with the inside of the adhesive tape roll T1 in the case that the adhesive tape roll T1 is drawn out by the rotating roller 10 at the time of cutting the adhesive tape drawn out from the cylindrical type of adhesive tape roll T1 having the different diameter which is inserted between the support plates 514 and 515. Moreover the adhesive tape can get untied smoothly from the adhesive tape roll Tl since the press bar 532 is rotated on the axis 531.

FIG. 14 shows the 6th embodiment of the adhesive tape-cutting apparatus according to this invention. The adhesive tape-cutting apparatus 600 according to the 6th embodiment of this invention is the same as the adhesive tape-cutting apparatus 500 according to the 5th embodiment excepting that the inserting type of tape roll holder 630, which is constituted with the press bar of the 4th embodiment, is formed integrally with either one of two support plates and the surface of other support plates, which is close to the free end of the press bar, can be installed or disassembled. Accordingly, since the reference number of FIG. 12 and FIG. 13 indicates the same parts of these drawings, the detailed description about these things will be omitted.

As understood in FIG. 14, the adhesive tape-cutting apparatus 600

comprises the support plates which are divided into two support plates 614a and 614b, the tape roll holder 630, in which the fixed axis 631 is formed integrally with support plates 615, and the press bar 632 which is installed and disassembled on the fixed axis in order to block the inside of the adhesive tape roll T1. The support plates 614b, which is close to the free edge of the press bar 632, is configured to be installed or disassembled on the base member 110. Two inserting pieces are formed integrally on the support plates 614b and the inserting hole 622, in which a plurality of inserting pieces 620 are inserted on the side of the base members 110 and 112, is formed to be faced oppositely.

Meanwhile, the press bar 632 can be configured to be supported by being inserted into the fixed axis 631, at the same moment of being combined with the support plates 614b by being formed integrally on the support plates which is not a inserting type.

In the adhesive tape-cutting apparatus configured as the above, in the case that the adhesive tape roll T1 is mounted, performed are initially separating the support plates 614b from the base member 110, inserting the press bar 632 on the fixed axis 631, and installing the support plates 614b to be fixed by using the opposite inserting hole 622 formed on the inserting pieces 620 and the base member 110, at the state that the inside diameter of the adhesive tape roll T1 is inserted.

As described above, if drawing apart the end edge of the adhesive tape from the adhesive tape roll Tl. attaching it on the rotating roller 10, and rotating the rotating roller 10, the adhesive tape roll Tl is rotated the moment it is drawn out toward the rotating roller 10. At this time, since the inside of the adhesive tape roll keeps in contact with the press bar 632, the adhesive tape roll T1 is only rotated at the state that it hasn't moved toward the rotating roller 10 any more.

As described in the above, as the adhesive tape-cutting apparatus

600 according to the 6th embodiment of this invention is configured to form integrally the fixed axis 631 in which the press bar 632 pressing the inside of the adhesive tape roll Tl on the support plate 615 can be inserted, and to be able to install and disassemble on the base member 110 the support plates 614 adjacent to the free edge of the fixed axis 631 in order to replace the adhesive tape roll Tl, the adhesive tape roll Tl can be rotated between the support plates 614b and 615 without having the wheel where the center of rotation is fixed and fixed the same as in the conventional method since the press bar 632 keeps in contact with the inside of the adhesive tape roll Tl, in the case that the adhesive tape roll T1 is pulled by the rotating roller 10 at the time of cutting the adhesive tape taken out from the adhesive tape roll Tl and moreover, the adhesive tape can get untied from the adhesive tape roll T1 since the press bar 632 is rotated on the axis 631.

FIG. 15 shows the 7th embodiment of the adhesive tape-cutting apparatus according to this invention. The adhesive tape-cutting apparatus 700 according to the 7th embodiment of this invention indicates an embodiment which can replace the adhesive tape roll which is simpler than the structure in which the end edge of the tape can be inserted by separating the respective press bars 332.432 and 532 or rotating an edge when replacing the tape as in the case of the 3rd through the 5th embodiments of this invention.

Once again, in the 3rd embodiment or the 5th embodiment, at the time of replacing the tape, only if an operator should separate the press bars 332 and 532 first of all, have the end edge of the tape gotten untied as long as in a fixed length, and have the end edge of the tape attached on the attaching surface formed on the arms of the rotating roller 10, and then rotate the driving knob, the adhesive tape roll could be replaced. Also, in the case of the 4th embodiment, as shown in FIG.

12, it was the structure that can replace the adhesive tape roll after the operation of rotating the end edge of a side on the press bar 532.

Accordingly, in the 7th embodiment, it is the same adhesive tape-cutting apparatus as the 3rd or the 5th embodiments excepting that it is configured to replace the tape roll easier and simpler (than the conventional) since two support plates 731 and 732 are installed on the support plates 714 and 715. So, since the reference number of these drawings is the same as those parts of FIG. 8 or FIG. 13, the detailed description will be omitted.

As understood in FIG. 15 and FIG. 16, the desirable choice of the first tape roll holder in the adhesive tape-cutting apparatus 700 is a partitioned fixed type tape roll holder 730 which is constituted with supports 731 and 732 in order for an adhesive tape to descend at the state riding on a slant surface at time of replacing the first adhesive tape roll T1 according as formed is a slant surface which limites the inserting space SP of an adhesive tape in order to insert an adhesive tape easily at time of replacing the first adhesive tape roll T1 and protrudes respectively the inside of the first and the second support plates 714 and 715 so as to block the first adhesive tape roll T1 by pressing the outside of it at time of rotation of the rotating roller 10.

In the adhesive tape-cutting apparatus configured as the above, in the case of mounting the adhesive tape roll Tl, the operations pulling the end edge of the adhesive tape from the adhesive tape roll T1. attaching the attaching surface of the tape on the rotating roller 10, and then rotating the driving knob by hand are performed. At the time of rotating the driving knob, the non-attaching surface of the adhesive tape according to the rotation of rotating roller descends in a natural way at the state of riding on the slant surface of the support 731 as seen in FIG. 17. The reason why the non-attaching surface of the adhesive tape

descends is that, at the time of rotating the rotating roller 10. the attaching part of the tape, which gets untied from the adhesive tape roll, moves downward, with the adhesive tape roll moving toward the rotating roller 10. Accordingly, at the time of rotating the rotating roller 10, the adhesive tape is thrown into between space SP.

Meanwhile, at the time of replacing the adhesive tape roll, a user slants the adhesive tape a little, throw it into space SP, attach the attaching surface of the tape on the rotating roller 10, and rotating it, so that he can replace the adhesive tape roll easily.

As seen in the above, only if the adhesive tape-cutting apparatus 700 according to the 7th embodiment of this invention put the end edge of the tape into the lower side of the press bars 332 and 532 at the time of replacing the tape, pulling it between the press bars 332 and 532 and the rotating roller 10, attach it on the attaching surface on the arms of the rotating roller 10, and rotate the driving knob, the structure which throws the adhesive tape into between space SP by a little slating the adhesive tape and either rotates the adhesive tape by attaching on the rotating roller 10 or rotates it after attaching the end edge of the adhesive tape on the rotating roller 10 has an advantage in providing a structure in which the replacement of the adhesive tape roll can be achieved much easier and simpler than the structure which replaces the adhesive tape roll as shown in the 3rd embodiment and the 5th embodiment.

FIG. 18 through FIG. 20 shows the 8th embodiment of the adhesive tape-cutting apparatus according to this invention. The adhesive tape-cutting apparatus 800 according to the 8th embodiment of this invention is the same as the adhesive tape-cutting apparatus 700 shown in the 7th embodiment of FIG. 15 through FIG. 17 excepting for the addition of the rollers 833 and 834. Accordingly, since the reference number of FIG. 18 through FIG. 20 is the same parts as those of FIG. 15 through FIG.

17, the detailed description will be omitted.

As understood in FIG. 18 and FIG. 21, in the adhesive tape-cutting apparatus 800, the first tape roll holder protrudes on the inside of the first and the second support plates 814 and 815 in order to block by pressing the first adhesive tape roll Tl at the time of rotating the rotating roller 10, limites the adhesive tape-inserting space SP in order to facilitate the insertion of the adhesive tape at the time of the adhesive tape roll T1, and is constituted with the rollers 833 and 834 and the supports 831 and 832 on which the slant surface is formed. Also at the time of replacing the first adhesive tape roll T1, the fixed type of tape roll holder 830, in which the adhesive tape descends at the state riding on the rollers 833 and 834 and the above-described slant surface. is desirable.

In the adhesive tape-cutting apparatus 800 configured as the above. in the case that the adhesive tape roll Tl is mounted, the operations pulling the end edge of the adhesive tape from the adhesive tape roll T1, attaching the tape attaching surface on the rotating roller 10, and rotating the driving knob by hand are taken. The non-attaching surface of the adhesive tape descends at the state riding in the roller 833 as shown in FIG. 20 according to the rotation of the rotating roller 10 at the time of rotating the driving knob. Accordingly, at the time of rotating the rotating roller 10, the adhesive tape is put into the space SP.

Meanwhile, at the time of replacing the adhesive tape roll, if a user slant the adhesive tape a little, throw it into between space SP, attach the attaching surface of the tape on the rotating roller 10, and rotating it, he can easily replace the adhesive tape roll.

Since the adhesive tape-cutting apparatus 800 according to the 8th embodiment as shown in the above, it has an advantage in that the tape roll can be replaced easily and similarly to the 7th embodiment.

FIG. 21 through FIG. 34 shows the automatic adhesive tape-cutting apparatus according to the 9th through the 15th embodiment. In the 9th through the 15th embodiment, the same tape roll holders 130,230.330, 430.530,730,830 as that of the 7th and the 8th embodiment is attached respectively. Accordingly since the 9th through the 15th embodiments are different from the 1st through the 8th embodiments only in the main body of the adhesive tape-cutting apparatus but the structure and the operation of the first tape roll holder is the same, the description of this will be omitted. Moreover since the main body of the adhesive tape-cutting apparatus used in the 9th through 15 th embodiment are the same, only the adhesive tape-cutting apparatus shown in the 9th embodiment will be described.

As understood in FIG. 21, the adhesive tape-cutting apparatus comprises the first and the second base members 910 and 912 fixed by a connecting rod, the first and the second support plates 914 and 915 formed integrally respectively, and vertically on the base members 910 and 912, input and output guide wheels 920 and 921 having a gear type of attaching part on which an adhesive tape is sticking at the time of rotation, mounted to be rotated between the support plates, a plurality of gears 924 and 925 for rotating the guide wheels 920 and. 921 by relaying driving force from the motor 923 to the input and output guide wheels 920 and 921 at the time of cutting tape, a tape guider 926 from which the adhesive tape is coming out substantially and horizontally, which has passed above the output guide wheel 921 by getting untied from the adhesive tape roll and is mounted between input and output guide wheels 920 and 921, a cutting blade 927 which cuts in a certain length an adhesive tape that passed along a output guide wheel 921 and that can move vertically by the elevator, the conveyor 928 for moving the cut adhesive tape horizontally, and the attaching means 929 that attaches

the adhesive tape, which is required to be cut, onto the conveyor 928.

However, the main body of the adhesive tape-cutting apparatus 900 shown in FIG. 21 through FIG. 34 is designed to draw out and cut the adhesive tape automatically ant it could be a typical one, but the point of this invention is in the structure, in which this automatic tape-cutting apparatus is combined with the tape roll holder.

Meanwhile, this adhesive tape-cutting apparatus 900 has the tape roll holder 130 as explained by referring to FIG. 4. This tape roll holder 130 is to be rotated without the adhesive tape roll T1 having a fixed rotating axis by keeping in contact with the adhesive tape roll Tl which moves toward the input guide wheel 920, in the case that the adhesive tape roll Tl is pulled out by the input guide wheel 920 at the time of cutting the adhesive tape untied from the adhesive tape roll T1.

Also, the tape roll holder 130, as described by referring to FIG.

4, is constituted with two press bars 134 and 135 formed on the end edge of a lever 133 mounted between the lateral plates 131 and 132 and the lateral plates 131 and 132 having pins 131a and 132a combined with the coupling holes 914a and 915a formed on the support plates 914 and 915, pressing the outside of the adhesive tape roll Tl at the time of the rotation of the input guide wheel and being rotated by centering around the above pins 131a and 132a at the time of exchanging the adhesive tape.

In FIG. 21, the undescribed reference number 930 is a elevating means for operating the adhesive means 929 and the cutting blade 927 and 980 is a operational switch.

In the adhesive tape-cutting apparatus 900 according to the 9th embodiment of this invention configured as this, in the case of the replacing type of adhesive tape roll Tl, the operations of rotating (opening) the first tape roll holder 130. which is mounted between the support plates 914 and 915. into the position of two-dot chain line by

centering around the pins 131a and 132a. and facing the attaching part downwardly from the adhesive tape roll T1 after inserting the adhesive tape roll Tl, pulling the end edge of the adhesive tape as long as in a fixed length, and attaching the attaching surface of the end edge on the input guide wheel 920 having the gear type of attaching parts are performed.

If a user turns on the operational switch 980 after he makes the press bar 134 and 135 keep in contact with the outside of the adhesive tape roll Tl by rotating the first tape roll holder 130, which is opened in this state, in the direction of an arrow, the idle gears 924 and 925 is rotated by the driving of the motor 923. In this case, the input guide wheel 920 is rotated in the reverse clockwise rotation and the adhesive tape attached on this passes through the input guide wheel 920 and the tape guider 926.

Also, at the time of rotating the output guide wheel 921, the adhesive tape, which is attached on this, it pass between the tape guider 926. At this time, the tape is drawn out almost horizontally without sinking in the lower side.

Meanwhile, as the input guide wheel 920 shown in FIG. 22 is rotated in the reverse clockwise rotation, the adhesive tape roll T1 is drawn toward input guide wheel 920 with the adhesive tape untied and rotated according to sequentially attaching on the gear type of the attaching part of the input guide wheel 920.

However, the adhesive tape roll Tl drawn the input guide wheel 920 is blocked without moving toward the input guide wheel 920 any more since the outer peripheral lead keeps in contact with the press bars 134 and 135 which is rotatable and constitutes the first tape roll holder 130, so after that, the adhesive tape untied from adhesive tape roll T1 turns tense in a tight state and is attached certainly. Also since the

adhesive tape roll Tl is rotated without receiving any interference of rotation at all by the press bar 134 and 135, the adhesive tape can get untied smoothly from the adhesive tape roll Tl.

Meanwhile, the tape passing the output guide wheel 921 is cut and fed by a series of operation by the cutting blade 927, and the conveyer 928, the attaching means 929 which are operated by the elevating means constituted with the motor 930 and the lever 930c.

More specifically describing this, the motor 930a is operated if the tape passes through the output guide wheel 921. In this case, the camp 930b connected on its axis pulls the elevating lever 930c downwardly. At this time, the attaching means 929 descends downwardly and presses the adhesive tape on the conveyer 928. After that, the cutting blade 927 descends by the part of the elevating lever 930c, which is not shown, and cuts the tape attached on the conveyer 928.

Upon completing the cutting operation of the tape as the above, the cutting blade 927 and the attaching means 929 returns to the top side position by the elastic force of the spring not shown.

Accordingly, the adhesive tape-cutting apparatus 900 draws out the tape from the adhesive tape roll T1 by the operation of the motor and by the guide wheels 920 and 921 and the guider 926 while a user presses the operating switch 980 and at the state that the tape, which is drawn out as this, is attached by the adhesive means 929 on the conveyer 928, the cutting blade 927 cuts the tape in a fixed length continuously.

In the adhesive tape-cutting apparatus according to the 9th embodiment of this invention as described in the above, since the press bars 134 and 135 keeps in contact with the outer peripherical lead of the adhesive tape roll Tl, in the case that the adhesive tape roll T1 is pulled toward the input guide wheel 920, at the time of cutting the adhesive tape drawn out from the cylindrical type of adhesive tape roll

T1 inserted between the support plates 914 and 915, the adhesive tape roll Tl can be rotated between the support plates 914 and 915 without the wheel of the fixed diameter as in the case of the conventional apparatus (that is, without having a fixed rotating axis in the center of rotation).

Industrial Applicability As described in the above, according to the adhesive tape-cutting apparatus of this invention, since it is not required to use an additional wheel for inserting the tape roll of a different diameter, so it is possible to replace the adhesive tape roll easily, it will be an advantage that the production cost according to producing an additional wheel can be reduced. Also, another advantage of this invention is that the adhesive tape can be drawn out easily from the adhesive tape roll without an additional wheel.

Even this invention is described by referring to the specific embodiments, this invention is not limited to these embodiments, but a lot of changes and amendments can be included within the scope of this invention described in the following claims. For example, instead of the manual type of adhesive tape-cutting apparatus cutting the tape in a fixed length with the rotating roller being rotated according to the operation of the driving knob, the tape-cutting apparatus which cuts the adhesive tape in a fixed length by installing a plurality of protruding pieces without using the driving knob, at the same time by pulling downwardly the part of the slant circulating belt. which is exposed, in a fixed angle, or other than the structure of these cutting apparatus, even the tape-cutting apparatus which is the structure of cutting the successively by inserting the adhesive tape roll, in which the internal diameter (size) is different, on the respective wheel, of course, can cut

the adhesive tape, which is different in size without a limit by supporting it by applying the first tape roll holder of this invention without using the wheel which has a fixed center of rotation respectively.

Also, if the rotatable press bar, as the axis of the first tape roll holder, is interposed respectively, or rotation is enabled after installing the axis between the support plate at a loose state, it will be possible to achieve the cost reduction in producing parts.

Moreover, this invention can be used in the field which supports tape, that is, other automatic tape-cutting apparatus for cutting the adhesive tape in a automatic method, in a way of having other shape other than the main body of the adhesive tape-cutting apparatus shown in FIG.

21 through FIG. 34.
