Abstract:
Disclosed is an adsorbent material which is capable of removing bad smell components with high efficiency and has excellent storage stability. The adsorbent material is able to be produced by a method which comprises a step of bringing a porous carrier into contact with an aqueous solution that contains an aminobenzoic acid and an acid having a boiling point of not less than 130˚C and a step of drying the porous carrier that has been brought into contact with the aqueous solution. The aqueous solution contains the aminobenzoic acid and the acid having a boiling point of not less than 130˚C respectively in an amount of 0.07-2.3 mmol/g and in an amount of 0.05-21 mmol/g relative to the mass of the part of the porous carrier to be brought into contact with the aqueous solution, and the concentration of the acid having a boiling point of not less than 130˚C in the aqueous solution is not less than 0.03 mol/L.
