Abstract:
An aerial display device includes: a display element (20) for displaying an image; an optical element (40) that is positioned so as to receive light from the display element (20), reflects the light from the display element (20) to the opposite side, and forms an aerial image in the air; a polarization element (50) that is positioned so as to receive light from the optical element (40), allowing linearly polarized light to pass therethrough; and a housing (60) that is configured so as to surround the optical element (40), and that secures the display element (20) and the optical element (40) so as to be spaced apart from each other. The polarization axis of the polarization element (50) is parallel to the polarization axis of the display element (20).
