Abstract:
An aerosol-generating device and an operation method thereof are disclosed. The aerosol-generating device of the present disclosure includes a housing having an inner space formed therein to allow a cigarette to be inserted thereinto, a moisture detection sensor configured to sense moisture contained in the cigarette inserted into the inner space, a memory configured to store therein a plurality of temperature profiles, a heater configured to heat the cigarette, and a controller. The controller determines the amount of moisture contained in the cigarette based on a signal received from the moisture detection sensor, and determines a temperature profile corresponding to the determined amount of moisture, among the plurality of temperature profiles.
