Abstract:
An aerosol generating system comprises an aerosol generating article and an aerosol generating device, wherein the aerosol generating article may comprise: a tobacco medium part comprising a tobacco material and a pH-adjusting agent; and an aerosol generating part comprising an aerosol generating material. The aerosol generating device may comprise: a heater arranged to receive power from a battery to heat the aerosol generating article; and a controller for controlling the power supplied to the heater. In the present embodiment, when the heater is operated in a smokeless mode, no aerosol is generated from the aerosol generating material, and when the heater is operated in a smoke mode, aerosol is generated from the aerosol generating material.
