Abstract:
The inventive aerospace laser jet engine comprises an optical unit (2) for receiving a repetitively pulsed laser radiation, matching the aperture of a laser beam with the size of said optical unit and for forming a flat radiation front, an optical unit in the form of a radiation concentrator whose reflector (3) is embodied in the form of a mirror conical body of rotation whose surface generator is embodied in the form of a short-focus parabola and a gas-dynamic unit which is coaxially disposed with respect to the optical concentrator. The novelty of the inventive aerospace laser jet engine lies in that the radiation concentrator is embodied in the form of two mirror reflectors (3, 4), a second additional reflector (4) whose axis of symmetry coincides with the axis of symmetry of the first reflector is embodied in the form of a body of rotation whose optical surface generator is arch-shaped and which is arranged on the trajectory of the beam focused by the first reflector (3) in such a way the focal area (5) of the second reflector (4) coincides with the focal area (5) of the first reflector (3) and the image thereof (6) coincides with the area (6) for forming a laser-induced breakdown of the aerospace laser jet engine. Said gas-dynamic unit consists of two parts, i.e. a pulse pressure receiver (9) which is arranged on the back side of the first reflector (3) of the radiation concentrator and coincides with the base thereof and the exhaust nozzle (8) of the engine which is arranged at a distance therefrom in such a way that a slot for introducing a laser radiation is formed and embodied in a form of a channel whose part oriented towards the pulse pressure receiver (9) has a cross sectional dimension comparable with the cross sectional dimension of said receiver.
