Abstract:
A dehumidifying/deoxidizing agent characterized by comprising cerium oxide having an oxygen defect and a dehumidifying agent. The cerium oxide preferably has, added thereto, an element for increasing the amount of oxygen to be absorbed by the cerium oxide. It is also preferable that oxygen-absorbing sites of the cerium oxide have been blocked by an eliminable site-blocking factor. The cerium oxide preferably has a superlattice structure akin to a fluorite structure. Also provided are: a dehumidifying/deoxidizing object which comprises the dehumidifying/deoxidizing agent and an easily gas-permeable bag-form package, the agent being enclosed in the package sealed; and a dehumidifying/deoxidizing resin composition which comprises the dehumidifying/deoxidizing agent and an easily gas-permeable resin.
