Abstract:
Disclosed are an air conditioner and a method for controlling the air conditioner. The air conditioner according to the present invention comprises: a fan; a compressor; a temperature sensor; and a processor, wherein the processor turns on the compressor to cool air, discharges the cooled air to the outside of the air conditioner by driving an indoor fan on the basis of an airflow mode among a plurality of airflow modes, corrects a set temperature of the air conditioner on the basis of a correction value corresponding to the airflow mode, and when the temperature sensed by the temperature sensor matches the corrected set temperature, turns off the compressor in a state in which the driving of the indoor fan is maintained.
