Abstract:
This air conditioner includes a compressor 2, and a drive circuit 50 for driving the compressor 2, wherein the drive circuit 50 is provided with: an alternating current electric path 3; a rectifier 4 connected in the alternating current electric path 3; a direct current electric path 9 on an output side of the rectifier 4; a smoothing capacitor 12 connected in the direct current electric path 9; an inverter 10 connected in the direct current electric path 9; a switch 7 provided in an energizing pathway from the alternating current electric path 3 to the smoothing capacitor 12; and a control unit 15 which performs control such that the switch 7 is closed and opened during a preheating operation for energizing the compressor 2 via the inverter 10 to perform preheating.
