Abstract:
An air conditioner (1Ax) comprises: an outdoor unit (20Ax) that has an outdoor unit board (21) and a terminal block (35) and is connected to a commercial power source (30) via the terminal block; an indoor unit (10A) that is connected to the commercial power source via the terminal block; and a protection board (50) that is connected between the terminal block and the commercial power source and protects the outdoor unit and the indoor unit. The protection board includes a terminal block (55A) connected to the commercial power source, a terminal block (55B) connected to the outdoor unit terminal block, connection wires (60U, 60D) that connect the terminal blocks, and a switch (SW5) that switches between connection and release of the connection lines. When a voltage value exceeds a threshold, the switch is opened, so that the outdoor unit and indoor unit downstream of the switch are protected.
