Abstract:
An air conditioner for a vehicle is provided with which it is possible to appropriately cool a battery while effectively using the heat of the battery for heating inside the vehicle. A battery temperature adjustment device (61) that adjusts the temperature of a battery (55) has a refrigerant/heating medium heat exchanger (64) that exchanges heat between the refrigerant and the heating medium. A controller executes: a first heating/battery cooling mode in which the heat of a refrigerant discharged from a compressor (2) is dissipated by a radiator (4), and after reducing the pressure, the heat is absorbed by an external heat exchanger (7) and the refrigerant/heating medium heat exchanger; and a second heating/battery cooling mode in which the heat of the refrigerant discharged from the compressor is dissipated by the radiator and the external heat exchanger, and after reducing the pressure, the heat is absorbed by the refrigerant/heating medium heat exchanger.
